We’re excited to announce that we’re now on Local Buy!

What is Local Buy?

Local and State Governments are dedicated to supporting local businesses, but the procurement process can be costly, time-consuming, and fraught with risks such as fraud and corruption. It also needs to comply with the strict standards set by the Queensland Audit Office.

Local Buy simplifies this process by connecting organisations with pre-qualified local Queensland suppliers, both big and small, helping meet legislative, reputation, and compliance needs. This not only saves time and money but also reduces the need for organizations to tender, advertise, and prepare contracts.

The Local Government Councils sought help with procurement, leading to the creation of Local Buy by the LGAQ in 2001. Access to Local Buy is a valuable component of LGAQ membership, and the profits from Local Buy are reinvested each year to help keep council membership fees low.

Through Local Buy’s strict prequalified supplier process, organisations can access a range of goods and services through a quotation rather than a tender process.

Local Buy is committed to delivering high-quality services to its customers and adopts a philosophy of continuous improvement. The management is fully committed to establishing, documenting, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

The QMS is specifically designed to cover the delivery of professional services and provides the direction that informs and guides Local Buy towards providing best practice in consultancy, technical advisory, training, and managed services. It has been developed considering the nature of the business, the risks and opportunities faced, and the requirements of clients and stakeholders.
